As a British ex-pat living in France the list of things I miss is very short but right near the top of that list must be beer. Ale, specifically, and real-ale at that. I do drink Belgian beers as a substitute, but it's certainly not the same.
So, in the last couple of years I've got in to home beer brewing, and the results are pleasing - so much better than home-brew kits used to be years ago. Back then, it was the case that you produced either rot-gut or rocket fuel.
Now, I'm looking at expanding and possibly doing it as a legit, cottage industry. All sorts of legal hurdles to surmount of course; hygiene, food and drink regulations, licencing, etc., etc., so it's by no means a certainty yet. But we'll see.
In anticipation, I've purchased a new domain name, www.six-string-brewery.com, and have named the first beer: G-String
