The process of content management is not just about creating and editing content on websites.  Approached professionally, it is about clearly defined roles and responsibilities and a controlled end-to-end process.  Firstly, I can help you set-up a content management system and process, and secondly, I can help you run it.

The roles will include:

  • Creator
  • Editor
  • Publisher
  • Moderator
  • Administrator
  • Viewer / Reader

A comprehensive Content Management process should cover:

  • Scheduled content - automated publishing and unpublishing
  • Reviewed content - check relevance after date or period x
  • Review before publishing
  • Comment moderation - Public posts moderation (pre- or post-publication)
  • Complaints handling

In addition, it may also cover area such as:  Language translations and fallback to base language; checking for broken links; checking for missing assets; checking downloadable assets; crediting images to the correct agencies; and updating and maintaining the Content Management System (CMS) itself.
